Celebration of the local Policing Awards

Last Friday marked the end of Neighbourhood Policing Week, and an awards ceremony was held to celebrate those working within the department. Several awards were presented, and the North Warwickshire team were certainly commended.

PC2300 Louis Thompson received the Problem-Solving Award, as a result of the fantastic work he has completed around the night time economy in Coleshill.

PC1372 Mark Breeze was recognised for his problem solving approach to reduce freight crime at Corley Services.

PC2267 Steve Taylor received an award in relation to his work in reducing shoplifting within Atherstone Town Centre.

PCSO Gav Scott received an award for his dedication to reducing ASB within Atherstone.

PCSO Mo Yaqub was awarded for his commitment to road safety within North Warwickshire.

PCSO Pete Beale was recognised for being the Force's longest serving PCSO.

Lastly, Atherstone Town Centre Team received the team award from Superintendent Jo Bunting. This followed a review of teams across the county. The team were commended for their work in reducing serious violence by 68% and anti-social behaviour by 54% within the town centre. A testament to their hard work and commitment in making Atherstone a safe place.
